Mutton liver curry
Eeral kuzhambu
Ingredients
Oil - 3 tbs
Mustard - one tbs
Shallot/small onion -200 grams
Tomato -one medium-sized
Ginger garlic paste -2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tbs
Coriander powder -2tbs
Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
Mutton masala - 1 tbs
Curry leaves
Salt as required
Instructions
Wash mutton liver, add it to a pressure cooker then add the required amount of water and turmeric powder, cook till three whistles
Take Shallots in a blender and blend well keep this aside, then add tomatoes and make a fine paste.
Place a pan or kadai, add oil then add in the onion paste and saute well, then add tomato paste and saute well, add ginger garlic paste then saute well till the oil gets separated.
Add masalas like chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder,garam masala, and a little bit of mutton masala for the flavor and give a good mix.
You can also skip this mutton masala if you feel you are not comfortable using the store-bought masalas
Add well-cooked mutton liver along with the masala gravy that we have prepared and allow it to boil for 10 minutes on a low to medium flame.

Rinse and add mutton liver to a pressure cooker and add half a mug of water
Then add turmeric powder along with it
Take Shallots in a blender and blend well, now place a kadai then add oil and go in the onion paste and saute well till you notice the change in color
Then add the tomato paste and give a good mix
Then add ginger garlic paste, and saute well till the oil gets separated.
Time to add masalas like chilli powder turmeric powder, garam masala, and coriander powder, give a good mix adding a little water
Time to add tempering...add oil and mustard to a small pan then add finely chopped onion and curry leaves.
Add this tempering to mutton liver gravy when it turns to a brown color
Turn off the flame when you see the oil separated from the gravy .. Tasty mutton general Kuzhuambu is ready to relish
