Mutton kola urundai recipe 


Mutton kola urundai is very simple to make without any hassle, with the most common ingredients we have in our kitchen



There is no need to mince the meat or prepare any masalas or powders before making this mutton kola urundai. We will prepare the urundai on the go, which is a very simple method and delicious as well. 

Ingredients

Mutton (boneless) - 300 grams 
Fennel - 1 tsp
Coconut -1/2 cup
Roasted bengal gram -3 tbsp
Ginger - small piece
Garlic - 3 
Poppy seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cashew - 1 tbsp
Cinnamon - small piece 
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder  -1/4 tsp
Pepper powder  - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Salt as required 
Coriander leaves

Instructions

  • Wash the boneless mutton pieces and drain the water thoroughly 
  • Heat a kadai or pan, add oil then add coconut, fennel, cashew, poppy seeds, ginger, garlic ,cinnamon and roast well, then transfer to a plate and allow it to cool completely
  • In the same kadai, add a little oil and saute the washed boneless mutton pieces until they release water
  • Add turmeric powder and saute for three to four minutes
  • Turn off the heat and set aside
  • Blend the roasted ingredients well
  • Add the undercooked mutton pieces and blend well
  • Transfer to a Bowl and add masalas like , garam masala, turmeric powder, pepper powder and chilli powder and required salt
  • Mix well
  • Take a small portion and round them like a small balls
  • Heat oil in a kadai and fry until crisp and golden
  • Yummy mutton kola urundai is ready to enjoy with ketchup and mayonnaise

Prep work 




Wash the boneless mutton pieces



Add oil in a kadai and add coconut, poppy seeds, cashew , fennel, ginger, garlic, cinnamon.



Remove and allow to cool thoroughly 


Add oil in a same pan and add boneless mutton pieces 



Add a pinch of turmeric powder 



Cook for two to three minutes



Add the roasted ingredients in a blend 



Add roasted bengal gram , blend it 



 Add under cooked mutton and blend well until everything is combined, transfer this to a bowl 



Add required salt 



Add garam masala


Add turmeric powder 


Add pepper powder 


Add chilli powder 


Finally add chopped coriander leaves and mix well


Take a small portion and roll into a small ball 


Heat oil in a kadai 


Fry in a medium heat until golden and crisp


Remove from oil,strain and serve .



Mutton kola urundai is ready to enjoy
