Celery soup

Celery soup is incredibly nutritious, tasty, and takes only 30 minutes to prepare



Celery soup is traditionally made with butter and heavy cream

The aroma of the celery soup is very strong and refreshing, there are many nutritional health benifits in celery, high in antioxidants,lower blood pressure and cholesterol level

How celery is cleaned and chopped



  • Remove the strings using knife 
  • Roughly chop the celery stalks after removing the tough string

Ingredients


Butter -2 tbsp
Garlic - 4
Onion - 2
Potato - 2
Pepper powder -1 tsp
Vegetable stock - 500 ml
Celery -  1 cup
Milk(optional) for topping 
Salt as required 
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instruction

  • Heat a saucepan, add butter and let it melt
  • Add garlic  and diced onion and saute well till it turns translucent 
  • Now add chopped celery stalks and diced potato and saute well
  • Add vegetable stock and bring it to a boil, 
  • Add required salt
  • Now let it cool completely before transferring it to a jar and thoroughly blending the vegetables until they are smooth.
  • Now add this to the saucepan and adjust the consistency of the soup
  •  Season the soup with salt and pepper as needed.
  • The simple and healthy celery soup is ready to relish. 
  • Server it hot for the best compliment 😉

Prep work


Peel the skin and dice the potatoes 


Remove the tough strings and chop the celery,set aside 


Crush the garlic and set aside 


Dice the onion

Now,Heat a saucepan and add butter


Add garlic and diced onion


Add chopped celery stalks


Add diced potatoes


Now add vegetable stock 



Allow it to boil



Add salt and cook till the potatoes turns soft



When the potatoes are well cooked, turn off the flame and allow it to cool completely and transfer to a blender 


Blend well


Add this to the saucepan and adjust the consistency of the soup and add pepper powder 


Finally add finely chopped coriander leaves and turn off the flame,



Simple and healthy soup is ready to relish


Top with milk and garnishing with coriander leaves (optional)
