Simple rasam
Rasam recipe is very simple to make. It can be had with rice or as a soup.
Ingredients:
Oil -2 tbs
Mustard -1 tbs
Dal -1 pinch
Dry chilies -2 nos
Pepper -2 tps
Cumin -2 tps
Garlic -10 nos
Asafoetida -1 pinch
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Tamarind paste -1 tsp
Tomato -1
Water -2-3 cups
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
How to make rasam powder
Add pepper and cumin to a jar to make a fine powder then add garlic cloves and pulse it twice
How to make rasam water
It is very easy to make this rasam water firstly add tamarind paste to a bowl the second would be finely chopped tomato also add fresh and chopped coriander leaves add some water then give a good mix with your hands
How to make rasam
Add oil to a pan then add mustard, dal, red chilies, turmeric, and asafoetida add in the ground rasam powder and saute well till you sense the rasam aroma.
Now it's time to add rasam water mixture to a pan and give a good mix
There's a small technique to make rasam turn off the flame before it boils, you don't need to bring it to boil, turn off the flame while you see some bubbles, add salt to a bowl, and transfer the rasam to that bowl. Simple, healthy, and tasty rasam is ready to serve with well-cooked rice
