Cauliflower curry (kuzhambu)
Cauliflower is a very tasty flower like vegetable and it is favourite among kids when fried
Cauliflower is high in fibre and nutrients.
Fiber content helps to maintain a healthy digestion
A Very tasty curry made from cauliflower that tastes similar to naattu kozhi kulambu which is one of my favourites
This is available in all grocery store.This is gonna be a easy recipe
Nutrients in cauliflower acts as antioxident, which protect our body from cell damage.
Ingredients for making cauliflower curry
- Turmeric powder-1/4 tbsp
- Chilly powder -1 tbsp
- Coriander powder/kulambu masala-2 tbsp
- Oil -2 tbsp
- Mustard for seasoning
- Salt as required
- Curry leaves
Vegetables
- Onion
- Tomato
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Cauliflower
- Potato
How to make cauliflower curry
Firstly make a paste adding onion, tomato, ginger and garlic.
Add all together in a jar
Make a fine paste
Secondly under cook the cauliflower for 5 minutes adding water,it should not be fully cooked, strain the water and chop the cauliflower like a chicken pieces
Now heat a pan,add oil
Then goes in the ground paste
Saute well till the oil gets seperated from the gravy
Now it's time to add masalas like turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and saute well,
Then add water and adjust the consistency of the cauliflower curry
Now add diced potato
Let the potatoes cook well, add salt as required
Add cauliflower
Boil for five minutes, then turn off the flame
Cauliflower curry is ready to serve, tastes even good when it is seasoned with oil, mustard, onion,and curry leaves
Serve it with hot rice, chapathi,idly,dosa.
